Hobbs, NM
Well I just returned from Hobbs, NM where I held a Prophecy Conference. Now I am preparing to take my grandson to the circus (but that will be on my other blog page) :-)
This was a great meeting. On Sunday morning the altars were flooded and the most exciting part was when two people gave their heart and life to Christ.
Monday evening it got even better. I found out that on Sunday, one of the bus girls asked her bus driver to pray for her mommie, "Mommie needs to be saved." He promised to pray. On Monday even this mother and her daughter were in the services. As I gave to invitation for those interested in accepting Christ to respond, I noticed a lady in the back visibly upset. She was sobing alomost uncontrollably. After two verses of invitation I did something that I have only done once before. I had the instruments play and asked everyone to bow their heads. I then asked those who raised their hand, stating that they needed a relationship with Jesus to look at me. She looked up. I asked three simple questions:
Tuesday night it got even better. There were a group of men from a Men's Home - the kind that helps men with substance abuse get their life straight - attending. One man, who had only been at the home two days was in attendance.
Throughout the service it appeared that he could care less what was going on and was here against his will. However, during the invitation he was one of the first ones to step out a meet the pastor down front.
The pastor asked him, "Do you know for sure you are going to heaven?"
He said, "I think so."
"This is not a 'think so' situation." said the pastor. "Would you like to know for sure?"
He said that he would and in just a few minutes gave his life to Christ.
It was an exciting trip with a total of six people accepting Christ. This stuff makes all the traveling worth it.
Until next time......

- Do you believe what was preached to be the truth?
- Do you believe that Jesus will forgive your sins and come into your heart if you will ask Him to?
- Will you meet me up front?
