Springdale, Arkansas
This past week I was in Springdale, Arkansas where I held a Heritage Builders Conference. What a great place. The pastor, Don Elmore, has been at this church for 25 years and has done a great job. They are preparing to build a new sanctuary next year and have already raise close to $250,000.00 towards this project.
We started things out on Saturday night with an all church banquet to celebrate Thanksgiving. The food was absolutely wonderful. They have their own resident cook who could easily put any resturant to shame. There were over 200 in attendance. From there we retired to the auditorium where I began the conference. The people responded with good attendance each service.
This was my first trip to Springdale and I had a very nice time. I got to fellowship a little with my frind Don Rooks as he was in town for the holidays.
From Springdale I "high-tailed" it back home for a Thanksgiving feast. (For those who don't know, "high-tailing" is a hunting term used to describe a deer running away as fast as possible). We hosted about 21 people at our house for this day. It was crowded but we had a great time with family and friends.
Well, that's about it for this blog report. There's not a whole lot to say ... I full, I'm happy & I'm blessed ... what more could one want?
